Deb is Senior Director of Open Source and Standards at Red Hat, whose corporate culture and business practice encourages employee participation in open source communities and foundations.


Deb Bryant has served as a board member on a number of non-profit organizations over the years with a focus on open source software or its use to public benefit.

She serves on the DemocracyLab board as well as on the advisory board for the Open Source Educational Technology (OSET) Foundation. Previously she completed a six-year term as a board director with the Open Source Initiative. This spring she will help launch a new non-profit advisory board for open source projects within a long-established standards organization.
